Mike Gerenser
Art Direction, Photography, Web Design
Mike is our design guru. And a photographer. Also, he’s our car expert. And a regular handyman. Oh, and he’s our technology buff. Finally, he’s our financial investment counselor. We usually forgive him for knowing so much, and for rarely driving us around or picking up the check at lunch. This being said, Mike will probably have saved enough money to buy Rhode Island by the time he’s thirty. Scratch that, he went and got married, so he’ll be lucky if he has enough cash to see a Phillies game.
An advocate of organized, clean and direct design, Mike has a talent for taking complex visuals and making them easy to understand. He’s already done a lot in his career, providing art direction for brochures, direct mail, advertising, ad specialties, websites, books, magazines, documentaries and even television programs. In his spare time Mike is a martial arts instructor at Kuk Sool Won and enjoys spending his vacations in the Adirondacks swimming, kayaking and hiking. In fact, he has recently become an aspiring Adirondack 46er and plans to hike all 46 of the High Peaks… eventually.
As if that wasn’t enough, Mike also runs his own photography business, Finger Lakes Wedding Photography. If you’re getting married, hire Mike, save some cash and get some totally awesome pictures!
Tom Laemlein
Marketing Strategy
The senior member of the Velocimedia team (somehow humorous to his young partners), Tom has more than twenty years of experience working with some of America’s biggest brands, including DuPont, Xerox, Kodak, GE, and Johnson & Johnson. He’s also worked with some of America’s smallest brands, including the Ming Dynasty restaurant (who, incidentally, still owes him a plate of Hunan beef & scallops).
A veteran of the advertising industry, Tom has served as an award-winning writer, creative director, broadcast producer, and account manager with more ad agencies than he cares to name. When he’s not writing for clients, he’s often writing for himself, on projects that range from military history titles to cable TV cooking shows. When asked if he really looks like the guy pictured on this website, he replied: “When I find the guy who posted that image, I’m gonna’ punch him right in the wiener.” Tom is an avid football fan, a decent target shooter, and, according to the New World Almanac, one of the biggest consumers of cheese on Earth.
Tom also runs his own business, Armor Plate Press, which publishes books, magazines, calendars and signs on WWII topics. If you’re into tanks, fighter planes and things that go boom, you should definitely check it out.
Caesar & Charlotte
Twitter Experts
Its not uncommon for many small businesses to have an office feline or canine. But we at Velocimedia don’t relish the thought of cat hair in our computer or slobber on our keyboards. So we present to you our two Black-Capped Conures, Caesar and Charlotte.
As our resident social media expert, Caesar is a serious Twitter guru and spends most of his day tweeting. His favorite activities include chewing, shredding, eating, pooping and general office mischief.
Charlotte handles the day-to-day accounting and billing here at Velocimedia, so if you don’t pay up, she may just bite your finger off.
As you can see, we don’t take ourselves too seriously here at Velocimedia. But when it comes to your business and your branding… that’s no joke.
